Coach Sanchez enters his 3rd season as an assistant with the MatHawks. 

Coach Sanchez began his wrestling career at Hayfield in 1996 wrestling for Coach Roy Hill and Coach Bernard Nimmons.  While competing at Hayfield he was a 2x district champion, 2x region finalist, and 1x region Champion.  Coach Sanchez also claimed a Virginia Greco-Roman State championship and was a 3x member of the Virginia National Freestyle and Greco-Roman National Team.

Coach Sanchez wrestled collegiatly at the Virginia Military Institute where he was a four year starter for the Keydets at 125 lbs.  Coach Sanchez was a 2x All-Conference wrestler and claimed a Virginia Intercollegiate state championship as a senior.  He graduated in 2004 with a B.S. in Computer Science.

Coach Sanchez is currently employed by the Department of the Army.
