Five Champs Lead MatHawks to Beef O'Brady Invitational Team Title

Hayfield will traveled 400 miles to Fort Mill, SC to compete in the Beef O'Brady Invitational. The MatHawks crowned five individuals champions, and claimed the team title over host Fort Mill. The MatHawks scored 290 points, 66.5 points ahead of 2nd place Fort Mill.

The five champions included Raymond Borja at 103 lbs, Ronnie Ours at 130 lbs, Steven Ours at 152 lbs, Robert DeSano at 171 lbs, and Nahom Hagos at 215 lbs.

Other medalist for the Hawks were runner-ups Josh Claassen at 135 lbs, and Daniel Mills at 189 lbs, and forth place finisher Zach Grimsley at 160 lbs. 

Ten teams from both Carolinas, Virginia, and Georgia took part in the round-robin tournament.

The MatHawks will be in action next on Wednesday 20 December as they host South County and TC Williams to open district competition.
